Assembly Libraries: Improving Collaboration and Data Reuse
Relex Reliability tools have long been recognized for their unmatched component library database. Taking this concept one step further, Relex 2009 introduces Assembly Libraries: a new way to control and manage your system data. Assembly Libraries allow you to encapsulate your data at the Assembly level for ease of reuse and collaboration.
You can create an Assembly Library item for each and every assembly in your system, or for only the assemblies you plan to reuse. You can then build up libraries of assemblies, from which users can drag and drop assemblies into new systems. The management of libraries is effortless with the Relex library management utilities, which enable you to create libraries from current Projects, update libraries with new information, and filter libraries based on selected criteria. These new library capabilities extend to Reliability Prediction component parts and assemblies, FMEA analyses, Maintainability Prediction data, OpSim blocks, and OpSim diagrams.
Staying Current: Supporting the Latest Technologies
As always, we maintain our commitment to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies available. Relex 2009 includes a number of new additions in promotion of this effort, including support for Microsoft® Windows 64-bit Operating Systems, direct output to Microsoft Office 2007 compatible files, and support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
Prediction Standards: Maintaining Our Leadership in Reliability Prediction
The FIDES Guide 2004 is the latest prediction standard developed by the FIDES Group, a consortium of several international corporations including Airbus, Eurocopter, Thales, Nexter Electronics, and MBDA Missile Systems. The FIDES standard was developed to provide realistic reliability predictions during electronic product development and to aid in “design for reliability” efforts. Development of the FIDES standard was based on the physics of failures methodology. Relex Reliability Prediction 2009 incorporates FIDES Guide 2004 into its extensive list of supported prediction standards.
Enterprise Administration: Offering Enhanced Features for Administrators
Relex Administrator, the application for managing your Relex Enterprise databases, users, and groups, includes new capabilities for improved efficiency. New reporting features allow you to output user and group information to Microsoft® Excel®. Additionally, this same information can be imported back into Relex Administrator, allowing for complete import and export functionality of Relex Administrator information.
Web Interface: Enhancing Our Web-Based Analysis Tools
iRelex (previously Relex iArchitect) is Relex’s zero-client, Web-based application for the support of FMEA and FRACAS activities. iRelex includes a wealth of new features to enhance our popular web front ends. Some of the new capabilities in Relex 2009 include:
