When your analysis needs exceed the scope of standard series-based modeling tools, Relex Markov provides the robust statistical techniques necessary to model highly complex systems. This powerful state transition diagramming tool supports a wide range of system complexities, including redundancy, interdependency, and sequence-dependent failures. Using easy, intuitive interface tools, create graphical representations of complex system states, including operational, degraded, and failed. Represent the connections between them and the transition rates for these connections. Then, calculate system performance metrics including capacity, reliability, and availability for different states using powerful Markov analysis techniques.

Model a wide range of complex system relationships, including good, failed, and degraded states as well as the transitions between states.
Output key system metrics, such as number of failures over time, using easy, wizard-based graphing tools.
Calculate a wide range of key reliability metrics for complex systems, including availability, capacity, and MTBF.

Benefits

  • State transition diagramming tools can represent operational, degraded, and failed states, as well as the transitions between them
  • Model even the most complex systems, including those with complicated repair or restart procedures, event-dependent failure or repair properties, or common-cause failures
  • Model systems with a combination of complexities, including standby failures, included failure and shared load systems, and imperfect fault coverage
  • Account for the consequences of switchover mechanisms, repair priorities, limited repair resources, and failure sequence dependency
  • Consider associated costs in terms of currency, functionality, or throughput
  • Supports a wide range of calculations, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTF (Mean Time to Failure), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)

    Sample Supported Processes:

    • Availability
    • Capacity
    • Conditional failure intensity
    • Conditional repair intensity
